Delphiniums bear tall upright spikes laden with intensely-coloured flowers. They're a traditional staple of cottage garden schemes, providing height and a touch of drama to ornamental borders. The flowers are loved by bees and are superb for cutting.

Delphinium 'Rising Stars' is a mix of delphiniums, with single or double flowers in a variety of colours. Grown together they make a dramatic, mixed display, and they also make fantastic cut flowers. They're ideal for growing towards the back of a sunny border.

For best results grow Delphinium 'Rising Stars' in moist but well-drained soil in full sun. Although their flowering season is quite short, delphiniums can often be coaxed into producing a few later flowers if the flower spikes are cut down as soon as the blooms are over.
