Bearded irises have 'beards' on each of the falls (lower petals) of the flowers. Iris 'Art Deco' is a tall, bearded iris with purple-white standard and fall petals, and purple beards. It's ideal for growing in a mixed herbaceous border or gravel garden, ideally dotted through herbaceous plants in groups of three or five.

For best results grow Iris 'Art Deco' in well-drained soil in full sun, and mulch with well-rotted manure or garden compost annually.
