Trailing lobelia is the perfect plant for growing in hanging baskets, window boxes and summer container displays. With a neat, trailing habit, flowers spill over the sides of containers, bearing masses of deep blue flowers over a long period.

Lobelia 'Sapphire' has intense purple-blue flowers, contrasting with bright green foliage. It looks spectacular when planted amongst other blue-flowered plants, as well as flowers in a range of primary colours. For best results grow in sun to partial shade in rich, moisture-retentive soil. Keep plants well watered and feed fornightly with a potash-rich fertiliser.
