Polyanthus hybrid primulas are popular spring bedding plants, flowering in a range of colours from bright pink, purple and yellow to more sedate green. Gold- and silver-laced polyathus are particularly attractive, and were prized by the Victorians for their attractive, multi-coloured blooms.

Primula 'Gold Laced Group' has unusual golden-eyed flowers with black petals with gold margins. They look prettty grown in pots among other polyanthus and auriculas, and are ideal for cutting and using in spring floral arrangements.
