Japanese primrose, Primula japonica grows to 45cm tall, bearing a rosette of broad, crinkly light green leaves and candelabra-esque whorls of flowers on tall, erect stems from late spring to early summer.

Primula japonica 'Postford White' bears whorled tiers of beautiful white flowers with a golden yellow eye, over mid-green foliage. It's easy to grow and self-seeds readily. The perfect choice for a woodland garden, 'Postford White' thrives in moist, acid to neutral soil in partial shade. It's extremely tolerant of wet, heavy soils so will thrive in bog gardens or around pond edges.
