Rebutia heliosa is a small barrel cactus, native to Bolivia. It has white spines in contrast with dark green foliage. Its daisy-like flowers are a striking orange colour in spring.

For best results grow Rebutia heliosa in cactus compost in a container, in bright light. It's ideally grown as a houseplant but may be taken on to a sunny patio in summer. Water sparingly during the growing season, and feed once a month. Stop watering in autumn.
