Rosa 'Desmond Tutu' is a stunning variety of shrub rose, which boasts glossy, disease-resistant foliage. A repeat-flowering (floribunda) rose, it bears large, loosely double, scented dark pink-red blooms throughout summer.

The plant itself is compact and stocky, having the perfect structure to grow in the herbaceous border, or even train as a hedge.

In common with many roses, Rosa 'Desmond Tutu' grows well in a variety of soil types but does better if mulched with well-rotted manure or compost. Hard prune in February and help prolong flowering by deadheading regularly, and adding a high potash feed every fortnight in summer.
