Uvularia grandiflora

Uvularia grandiflora is an unusual woodland plant with lots of character. In late spring, its upright stems hook over at the end, and from these appear clusters of long, narrow, yellow buds, which open out into narrow, rather lily-like flowers. The plants look superb under trees or shrubs or in a woodland garden, where they associate with other choice woodland plants such as epimedium and erythronium, or in shaded, humus-rich borders with hardy ferns and Solomon's seal. The Royal Horticultural Society has given it its prestigious Award of Garden Merit (AGM).
