Place a layer of crocks at the bottom of the container, then three-quarters fill with compost.

Plant the pelargoniums as the centrepiece to the display, then surround them with Trifolium repens plants. Position the alonsoas at the rear of the pot so its flowers can shoot up above the arrangement.

Plant the zaluzianskyas around the edge of the bowl so they can tumble over. Fill the container with compost, to within 5cm of the rim, firming around the plants with your fingers to squeeze out any air pockets.
