Plant details

Lungworts are invaluable perennials for a woodland or wildlife garden, but are equally happy at the front of the border. They are grown for their early flowers, which are attractive to bees, and unusual foliage, often spotted silver or white. Plants make good trouble-free groundcover for moist shade, spreading slowly and requiring little care. Margery Fish' is a clump-forming plant with silver spotted leaves and coral-pink flowers, which turn violet with age. It has been given an Award of Garden Merit (AGM), which is for plants of outstanding excellence.
