Plant details

The lungwort has bristly, white spotted leaves which remain on the plant all year round. In early spring funnel-shaped flowers appear, opening pink, darkening to violet and finally fading to blue. It is a great perennial for brightening up shady areas, although this species will tolerate full sun.
