Sometimes known as 'Cottage Garden Pride', Rhododendron 'Mrs G. W. Leak' bears funnel-shaped, light rose-pink flowers, 10-15cm (4-6in) long, each with a deep brown and crimson central flare. Like many other rhododendrons, it blooms in mid-spring. It makes a compact shrub, making it suitable for gardens where space is limited. Plant shallowy in acidic, moist but well-drained soil.
