Plant details
This tall, erect rhododendron carries prolific trusses of pure white flowers, speckled red on the insides, in mid and late spring. The flowers are funnel shaped, and the dark green leaves are cinnamon-brown and hairy, with a few scales, on the undersides. Grow it in full sun, but be sure of an acidic, deep, humus-rich soil that retains moisture. The Royal Horticultural Society have given it their prestigious Award of Garden Merit.
