Blackcurrants are a real summer treat ideal for using in pies, jams, jellies and puddings. 'Ben Sarek' is a neat, compact variety which produces plenty of large fruit in July and August. It is one of Jim Arbury's favourite varieties and is also very frost tolerant, making it suitable for colder areas. The Royal Horticultural Society have given it their prestigious Award of Garden Merit.
