Plant details
An award-winning German Hybrid Tea (the 'Worlds' Favourite Rose' in 1981), getting high scores on every count. The flowers are flashy bright red and have what the rose grower David Austin calls 'smoky overtones'. The flowers appear individually and in small clusters. The scent is strong and fruity, and the only possible warning is that the stems are very prickly, so make sure that the ground is well weeded before you plant. Good cut flowers.
