One of David Austin's most recent modern shrub roses, this possesses all the virtues of the English rose group strong disease-resistance, vigorous growth and handsome, old-fashioned blooms. The plants are smaller than usual, ideal for confined spaces and containers, and benefit from firm pruning annually. The early display is best, with later flowers having slightly fewer petals. Plants enjoy good conditions, including a fertile, well-manured soil with generous annual mulches, full sun in a warm position, and regular picking or deadheading to extend flowering. The Royal Horticultural Society have given it their prestigious Award of Garden Merit.
