Plant details

This cultivar is a miniature climbing rose, with bright, semi-double, orange-red flowers. It is stiff and arching and has numerous dark green leaves. It is sometimes called by its other name, 'Chewizz'. This is a useful rose for climbing in restricted places. Cut out dead, diseased and damaged wood in the first two years from planting. In the following years, prune the main stems to fit the space where it is growing, and cut back sideshoots to three or four buds.

What a great rose. Small in statue and flower, brightly orange coloured against a dark leaf, that is purple when fresh in growth. Highly scented as well. Mine has been growing on a west facing wall, in a real 'hot-spot' for 12 years and never suffered the of the usual rose problems. Doesn't even mind me leaving the aphids on until nature intervenes.
