Plant details

Making a fine show of rich blue flowers, this salvia makes a big impact in cottage and formal gardens. It can either be grown outside in a sheltered spot with extremely free-draining soil. Alternatively lift in the autumn and keep in a pot in the green house or conservatory, until the spring. It can be propagated easily from cuttings taken in late-summer and grown on over the winter months in a warm greenhouse.
