Plant details
This cheerful Mexican annual, with flowers like miniature zinnias, is a perfect choice for baskets and containers because its soft hair stems soon sprawl and become prostrate, forming a solid carpet of bright foliage, studded with the flowers all summer. It is also ideal as edging for sunny beds and paths. The flowers appear in a continuous profusion all summer, and are quite remarkable, not for their colour or size, but for their large dark centres which dominate each bloom, emphasising the ring of yellow or orange petals.
