Plant details

This hardy annual produces thin, wiry stems. Each is topped with a deep purple ruffled flower, which is 5cm (2in) across with a green edge. The flowers attract wildlife, especially bees and butterflies. Careful deadheading should ensure a constant supply of flowers throughout the summer months. This cultivar prefers well-draining, neutral to alkaline soil and full sun.
