Plant details
A superb, bizarre plant producing a short, thick, branching stem with lovely silvery, bluish-green leaves. The flowers are usually white but may well have a pink tinge. It comes from the Mediterranean, especially Greece and Turkey, which means it needs wall-to-wall sun and excellent drainage. Though it can withstand the cold, it hates having its roots locked in sopping wet soil all winter, which is why it is traditionally grown in rock gardens or on stony banks.
