Plant details

Desiree' is a maincrop variety with firm, waxy flesh and red skin. It is particularly good as for baking and has drought tolerance. It shows some resistance to powdery scab. Maincrop varieties should be planted about 38cm (15in) apart with 75cm (30in) between the rows. They can be kept in the ground and not harvested until September or October.
