Plant details

These autumn-flowering bulbs come from Greece and the eastern Mediterranean, where they are baked in the hot dry summer weather, an experience that seems to improve flowering. To ensure their survival in cooler gardens, they should be planted in a warm sunny spot, ideally near a warm wall, and shielded from cold winter winds and hard frost they also need very good drainage. In return, they provide one of the most beautiful of all autumn bulb displays, their large rich golden-yellow goblets gleaming even more impressively in the mellow autumn sunlight.

Jess is in the Garden

Planted my bulbs in a terracoota pot, on a warm windowsill, many weeks ago. All the bulbs are have now come through with lovely green foliage, but still no flowers...what's happening?!
