Plant details

A tall, graceful, evergreen, Mexican plant for growing at the sides of ponds where it shoots up to head high. The near oval leaves stand out because they are grey-green with a white dusting on the surface. There are also small violet flowers in summer followed by attractive seed heads. You'll need a large aquatic basket placed about 15cm under water, with a natural pond, grow it in the muddy margins.
