Plant details

This small, evergreen, coniferous shrub, related to the gigantic white cedar tree of eastern North America, makes a neat, rounded shape which stands out because of its golden yellow foliage. It makes most impact in winter, and needs to be placed with that in mind. Try alternating it with other small, rounded shapes like the green T. occidentalis 'Danica', or neatly pruned pyramids such as Taxus cuspidata 'Capitata'. Give 'Golden Globe' an occasional shear to keep it looking smart, and to highlight its natural shape.
