Plant details
Parrot tulips are gorgeously coloured, with deeply fringed, frilled and wavy petals. Altogether extravagant in appearance, they are quite spectacular massed in the right spot in the garden. Their very large heavy heads makes them vulnerable to wind and rain, and too lavish for the usual spring bedding schemes. They are best grown as a display on their own, in borders or containers, and either as a mixture or in groups of single varieties. 'Estella Rijnveld' has fantastic red flowers with irregular white splashes.
