The tulip is a stalwart of the late-spring garden. There are hundreds to choose from, including traditional, single cup-shaped varieties, double-flowered cultivars and those with elegant, goblet-shaped flowers. Tulips grow best in fertile, well-drained soil in full sun. However, they don’t always come back the following year and are therefore often best treated as annuals.

As the name suggests, Tulipa ‘Magic Lavender’ produces blooms in a vibrant lavender-shade of purple. These upright and elegant flowers can be complemented in planting alongside white or blue tulip varieties. It's best to plant Tulipa ‘Magic Lavender’ bulbs in autumn or winter. If planting late, ensure they're planted before the last frost, as they require a cold period to produce foliage and blooms.
