Plant details

This is a dense, bushy, deciduous shrub, with many features to recommend it for most gardens. In spring, it is covered with pink buds which open to tubular, white or pink flushed flowers in domed heads that have a deliciously sweet fragrance. Then, in autumn, the rounded, dark green leaves turn a bright red before they fall. Pruning is only necessary to keep it in shape. Lightly trim over the whole shrub after it has finished flowering.
