Plant details
Yuccas come from the deserts and plains of southern North and Central America and with their stiff, leathery leaves and panicles of creamy white flowers, they make great architectural plants. Y. elephantipes has light to mid-green leaves that are rough-edged but spineless. It can be grown as an indoor plant or as a patio plant but it will need a frost-free place in winter. It has been given an Award of Garden Merit (AGM), which is for plants of outstanding excellence.
