I would like to shorten my varigated holly by about 2 feet.  Would this do it any harm? How tall is to start with? I have a garden I have recently bought which has 3 hollies on the boundary, all in the shade of a mature tree, and all looking pretty

I would like to shorten my varigated holly by about 2 feet.  Would this do it any harm? How tall is it in the first place? If you want to remove up to a half it should be fine, but try and leave some leaves behind and give it a good feed. Thanks

My holly tree is probably 20 years old possibly more.  Last year it started to show signs of leaves going brown and dying then falling off like a decidous tree.  There was also a black weaping on the trunk.  We removed dead branches but no sign
