We have recently moved our Syringa President Grevy lilac shrub to the front of the house. Could anyone tell me does the roots travel? Is the house safe!!

the following trees and shrubs grow well: sambucus, laurel, holly, laburnum, syringa, witch hazel...
would be better suited to the planters. The planters are on the patio and couldn't be moved elsewhere as there's nowhere else to site them. I did wonder about Dwarf Syringa as i already have a mini ceanothus in a large terracota pot on the same site

but the leaves are quite different from the usual smooth heart shaped ones. Is it really a lilac - the label states syringa vulgaris? Oops! Sorry I
