My broad beans first  got brown spotted leaves and then the stalks and lower pods went black . 1. What disease have they got? and 2. Should I compost the stalks or will it leave disease in my compost? Thank you for any advice.

Big brown patches have started appearing on my French Bean leaves. Lower two tiers only, the rest of the plant still growing OK. The leaves eventually shrivel and die. I grew the plants from seed in my conservatory, planting out 2 to 3 weeks ago
