Given the poor weather is supposed be on its way out, is it too late to stick a few things in now and hope for some results ? I was hoping to plant out some courgettes but the seedlings have succumbed and am wondering if it's worth trying to procure

at an angle to face the sun, and also it helped to keep the plants off the ground and minimise any problems with slugs or snails. But I think you can just let them trail if you want to, as you would a courgette plant. Depends on where you want to put them. I

- I have lots of nice lettuces.! It has been gruesome hasn't it? At times like this I'm very grateful for my very freedraining soil, at least it doesn't get waterlogged. At least the slugs are happy... Roses rotting; courgettes; yuk!  Grass ousing

am barmy and maybe i am. I will also grow onions and shallots potatoes, runner beans, courgette and braod beans plus the odd little bit of salad too. If I did grow crop's in the garden it would be left to rot as you can alway's buy

? and im assuming fresh manure will do as i havnt got time to let it rot? any advice is welcome   You're not too late! First things to get in I think would be broad beans, onion sets, early peas, strawberry plants. Too soon for lots of things like runner
