On 24/02/2013 in forum

On 12/11/2008 in Wildlife

On the weekend of 25/26 October, the RSPB held a Feed the Birds Day, with various events up and down the country. It doesn't yet seem cold enough to worry about putting up seed feeders or fat cakes, but then we're probably more protected from

On 17/09/2012 in forum

for at least 10 years, so I thought the brownness could be because of lack of nutrients. The last issue of GW suggested applying autum feed in September to strengthen the roots over winter,  This seemed ideal, until I got the packet home and read that it should

Stored home made liquid seaweed feed...

On 30/01/2013 in forum

I have some cartons of liquid seaweed feed along with a bin 1/3 full of the stuff, left over from last year. Shudder to think what it must smell like. How long does it keep for? Is it better to make a fresh batch and dispose of this lot? The seaweed

Feeding Clematis

On 11/04/2013 in forum

. Cheers.   Blood, Fish and Bone now, and then tomato feed when growing strongly. That would do but if they're a bit feeble I'd also give them a liquid feed now as a tonic.  You can also buy specialist clematis feed.  i've just been out doing some of mine
