Digital subscription to GW magazine

On 21/11/2012 in forum

don't want to be forced to buy an IPad i.e. specific manufacturer and I certainly don't want to pay Amazon.  I want my subscription to be in the GW pot, not in Amazon's.  Anyone else feel the same? GW will have done deals with those distributors

dues to the surround of buildings. Also, quite rightly mentioned already, its feels great to buy plants in flower but often they have come straight from polytunnels and nurseries forcing them on to look their best and encourage sales. And it works! I

On 03/09/2012 in forum

doing this before, and got leaves but no flowers...any advice would be most helpful! They may not flower next year if they have been forced indoors but they do get back to flowering in 2 years in my experience-if you have the space then pop them in. Give

Daffodil and Tulip Bulbs

On 13/05/2012 in forum

Hi.  I've been forced to dig up a border full of daffodil and tulip bulbs which unfortunately have not yet died down properly due to impending building work.  I tried to disturb them as little as possible and lift them with as much soil around them

Railway sleepers

On 06/06/2012 in forum

'repro' sleepers are light as a feather and I'd use lengths of 2"x2" timber screwed into the inside surfaces. I wouldn't force them into the ground as once packed full of soil, they won't budge. Screwing large angle brackets on the inside would be better
