Suggestions of plants for a hedge

, It would help if you thought about what has caused the moss to be there in the first place. Moss grows on lawns that are wet, badly drained or shaded. Sometimes bad drainage is caused by the soil being compacted. That is why it helps to aerate lawns by lindsayf12

you seen the price of well developed shrubs at Garden centres) ?. As regards the grass, Im with Doctoc63....... give it a couple of weeks and then use the mower on a high setting for the rest of the year. Come September / October... scarify and aerate by sandra99

Is Vermiculite dangerous
aeration and drainage which is good for seeds/cuttings, it improves germination and reduces the risk of damping off. Vermiculite is usually spread on top of a seed tray. Perlite does the same as above and retains moisture. Perlite is usually mixed by kevin merriman

grass cuttings
,got a bucket in the shed now Palaiglide and an old shower curtain ,,know what i mean cheers everybody Palaisglide, as I said grass cuttings go anaerobic if just left, turned and or aerated they compost just fine. Berghill, in my experience no they don by 4711

personal experience on composting
and aerate compost. I am not physically able to tip compost out so find this works for me. I get loads of worms - handfuls -so must be doing something right. I have started adding beer/cider to the heap as well ie if its stale!  That sounds like a handy by Sam Glendinning
