Snow on the Greenhouse
and there is only a couple of inches of snow on the glass. I have knocked it off the Fruit cage netting and the Shade House which is netting and the Shade garden where the netting is getting a bit old and rather brittle. Did shovel a lot of snow onto the beds by sotongeoff

white strawberries
 blew away in the wind before they were planted out. One tray didn't make it so I'm having to wait to see whether the row planted out last year are whiteberries or pineberries. One things certain though, judging by their leaves they aren't alpine varieties by Alan4711

Grassed area at the side of my house.

neat and tidy gardener or an alpine enthusiast the ywould be a pain. There are two quite different plants called celandine, and they are from two quite distinct genuses. Lesser celandine (Ranunculus ficaria - a member of the buttercup family) is a nasty by lucky3

I have Salix niger with really black stems and two alpine willows, a Chinese one that has catkins in the summer and a Japanese one that has fat stumpy catkins so different from our pussy- willow or grey willow. But I do love the huge pussy willow by happymarion

Under trampoline plants?
as to whether the flowers would prosper due to the lack of light. We have heavy clay soil and live in Scotland - so warm sunshine is not frequent Has anyone any advice as to how to make this area prettier? I don't know if a gravel garden underneath with alpines by Jarob24

what kind of grit do the gardeners use in there potting soil?
what do the gardeners from gardeners world us there potting soil? It looks like a kind or very small stones about two to four millimeters .Is it a kind of grit ore something else? They also springel some of it on top of een potted plant by Dutch-Ellen

Rockery plan
on how to build a rockery - either from the library or secondhand very cheaply from the net.  They used to be all the range in Victorian times.  My alpine plants go into my scree garden which is slate on top of well drained soil with a few outcrops by pash2
