My 1st allotment
to dispose of it. Annual grass and weeds can be put on the compost heap but avoid things like bindweed.  Avoid any nasty ones with seed heads. One chap on our allotment puts the more vigorous weeds in a black plastic bag and leaves them to rot for a year by richard ellis

Help Just purchased a small piece of land by my house. Been digging the over grown grass and weeds out but as quick as I'm clearing an area the weeds are shooting up again.  What is the best way to get rid of them and not damage the soil? hi by Gardenqueen

What is this plant?
was good quality topsoil, could it have been a rhizome in the topsoil? If so would I have any recourse?Any tips on how to treat knotweed? There are no big roots underneath these plants.  I doubt that that is knotweed-it just looks like an annual weed by sensa

At a loss with my lawn....
days. The stones? Are they big ? Otherwise don't worry too much but just keep raking and removing when you can. The weeds? Annual weeds will eventually be controlled by regular mowing but the raking and hoeing over winter will control these by turf by Pumphead

New Gardening Business
I have recently just started to maintain a few gardens. The gardens I look after are very large and this includes a large area of pathway, and a large area of driveway. I am looking for advice on how to purchase a more industrial weed and moss by Richard Walsh

Wood chip
weeding, but it will limit your options a bit. You won't be able to change your planting in a hurry, or suddenly decide to sow seeds of annuals to fill spaces. Make sure you water carefully as well, so that the newly-planted shrubs get plenty of water by Wildflower2
