Plants still in flower?
of digging my allotment. the weeds are back with a vengance. Cover the weeds up to keep out the light and the annuals will die.  You will have warmer soil too and less wind erosion.  Use cardboard, plastic sheeting, old carpets or anything else suitable you by Kate Bradbury

Yea, appreciation, at last! I will tell Peter and the boys! I filled my front garden many years ago with shrubs, flowers,dwarf? trees and let it get on with attracting the wildlife and weeds in the few spaces. It teems with birds and insects by Allotment Robin

,  depending upon the size of the tree you buy or get given, and move it up to bigger ones each early spring until it has got as big as you want it to.  You will need to prune the shrub annually, and feed it regularly.  The red one does better in a pot by Julieh2

Mystery plants
to lean fast on the job! Lots of existing plants have been saved but I'm not sure what some of them are.  I would be really grateful for some help!      They're both really easy to grow and seem virulent so I'm worried they're weeds!!    Woops, left one by ShropshireLass

took with both hands! Wen I viewed it I underestimated the amount of work involved! It had clearly been neglected for some time and the weeds were winning. I spent hours clearing it, digging up weeds by hand and then covered the whole allotment by Tim Underwood
