Ants
Hi Does anybody Know how to get rid of ants on my lawn without damage? Use nematodes for them.  They DO work.  They dont actually kill them but provide a habitat that is uncomfortable for them. I used them last year....successfully. Put up a sgn by Petew

hi, i have an 6year old apple tree that has just started to leaf (late i know),There are no aphids on it yet but there are lots of ants crawling over it, i can not see any damage being caused.Are they going to cause a problem so i will need by andy abbott

I don't want to use ant killers (Poison) but what can I do? Would  they do any harm if I use the compost in the garden? Can anybody help please.... cant really understand you (you want rid of ants but dont want to kil them) ? They can't do any harm by sybille

I know that ants may be a problem for some people and I suppose it depends where they are in the garden or allotmentt.I had an ants nest in my leaf-mould bin, it didn't half speed up the time taken to use the leaf mould, and in the bottom were a by Pepperdog

Ants and Aphids
I have a 10 year old maple that last year lost all its leaves by mid June on closer inspection I noticed ants carrying aphids up the trunk. my question is how do I stop them? I have put a tar-band round the trunk but they still seem to be able by Andy Cross

Ant problems
No message has appeared- so a bit more info-but ants do not eat fruit trees I live in Portugal and am having trouble with ants. They seem to be under the bark of my apricot and pear trees. Recently I have lost 2 pear trees and the locals tell me by Evie Elliott

Ant Infestations
Can anyone offer a solution please.... We are completely over-run with ant nests both in the lawn and around the espeliars. Can anyone offer any help we have tried the Nemasys and standard off the counter deterrents to no avail, they just seem by Annie 5

Frogs & Ants
In my greenhouse I have two frogs who overwinter there every winter. This week I emptied an old grow bag & discovered that it was full of baby & adult ants. How can i get rid of them without harming the frogs & do the frogs eat them?   You by jjgarden

Flying Ants
Just been out into the garden to do a spot of watering and saw lots of flying ants flying around. Not everyones cup of tea but they really are a sight to behold as they fly up to mate, unfortunately the males will die afterwards. I never kill them by donutsmrs
