Talkback: Potato blight
rain, ok fine can handle that, but how can I combat ants (black and white ones, I think these are mini termites) that are killing my plants/roots? Also when I pull out the dead plants I find white round eggs all over. Where does that come from? Help by Mr John Phillips

lawn problems
are harmless and do not sting. Gardeners World says they are at risk as gardeners often mistake the mounds for ants nest. I don't know how many you have in your lawn but if you can, try and leave them where they are, bees need all the help they can get. Good by MIke Smith

Can anyone tell me what this is please?
there-ants farming the aphids, ladybird larvae eating the aphids and some green thing joining in as well. Obviously you don't want to destroy the friends-I would be inclined to use a jet of water to get rid of the worst of the infestation or pick off by Mary, Mary

Welly boots
for assorted dog walking and gardening depending on the weather and protection from ants and nettles. Probably need a pair of waders to go with those three pairs of wellies!.... Oh and a pair of flippers and a pair of sandles..... That should cover all by joslow
