New shoots on roses.

Beech hedging, white powdery stuff?
if this could be the problem? Photo attached of a tree that's still fairly healthy, but does have this white stuff. Would appreciate any advice. Take a magnifying glass to it and check if it's beech

sticky beech tree leaves
my beech tree has sticky leaves I've never noticed it before it hasnt rained here in Devon for about 3 weeks now and the leaves are all sticky is this harmful does anyone know what if anything i need to do ?? It's probably honeydew from
