Crab Apple Tree.
My son bought a crab apple tree 10 years ago. It produced small round green/rosy apples. After a few years it was producing 2 types of apples.  Small small round green/rosy apples and larger darker green apples.  It now only produces the larger by ritalilly

Apple Tree
The leaves on my apple trees are open now and some are distorted as tho the central vein is too short and others have blisters on one side of the leaf usually red in colour. Anyone know what this problem is? could be blight or canker, by galest

Please help me to identify the problem with my 2 year old apple tree. I am very inexperienced gardener, so any help will be much appreciated. It looks like some insect colony.I have attached the three photos which I hope will help you to identify by joab

Apple tree
I moved into a house last September with a beautiful old apple tree in the garden.  It's about 80 years old and cropped very heavily last year.  I had someone round to look at it shortly afterwards who told me it looked very healthy. From a distance by Sarah Winter

Pollinating Apple Tree?
So I'm thinking about getting an apple tree. Does the tree need to be pollinated to grow apples? I don't think there is any other apple trees within 5 miles of me, will the fruit still grow? (I don't understand the biology of fruit trees very much) by John18

New apple trees
I've just been given 2 apple trees, I already have a very small apple tree and 1 pear tree but both showed signs of disease last year that I wasn't able to identify. I'm worried about planting the new trees near to the old ones, would it be better by nightgarden

Diseased apple tree
I have a 35 year old Cox's apple tree and throughout this summer the bark has been falling off in pieces about six inches square. The tree still has plenty of leaves, cropped quite well and has put on growth as usual. Is it doomed, if so what by Jeanne F

Old apple trees
I have recently moved into an old cottage with a very owergrown garden. In amongst the weeds is an apple tree which looks in a poor state. Is there anything I can do to help it recover? by Rose C

Buying new apple trees
Hi there, I have a small paddock area that I am planning to put in 3 apple trees, (or maybe 2 apple and a cherry) this winter. I understand the issues around pollination well enough to get me going, my question is around tree size that I buy. From by Jammy2
