All I want for Christmas is...
The more I learn about gardening, the more I wish I had a bigger garden. Since that isn't going to happen, the plant on my wish list would be a tiny russet apple tree; I don't have room for any more large fruit trees. What would everyone else like by artjak

Midges/mosquito help!!!
Last summer when we first moveisn't to our new home, we had a housewarming party and I was bitten so badly I had a really bad reaction, my legs swelled up and I was poorly for a good few weeks after... We have two apple trees and a damson tree by Luubear

Why May?
I'll tell why May.  Because it's the best month of the year that's why! The colour green has never been so vivid, from the road side verges to the unfurling leaves on the trees, especially the biguns, Chesnut!  The green isn't so brilliant by itsnotmyfault

these guys a good few years back, out of a magazine - the mini orchard collection, apple tree, pear tree, plum tree with free cherry tree.  All went through a couple of harsh scottish winters in pots outside, but the only one to survive was the pear, which by kevin merriman

Rented property - new to gardening
fab.  You could train climbers up the back wall to hide it, if you want to be productive perhaps a an apple or pear tree on a dwarf root stock, or even some raspberry canes (depending on what you like most).  Things like tomatoes and strawberries can by William Couch

freezing on our allotment yesterday, but we had a really good day. we had our annual manure heap delivered last week so we made a start on moving it yesterday. The allotments are beautiful when it is icy, the trees are especially, just like a picture by galloway130

Star Jasmine (Trachelospermum jasminoides)
sheltered. In fact, none of my climbers have done well this year. It's as though the last 3 months haven't happened. The only things which have grown are my sunflowers (which are very large) and my roses. My apple trees gave me a grand total of one apple. I by yarrow2

lots of trees and shrubs which offer shelter which probably helped attract it into the garden. This year I have had the usual visitors - blackbirds, loads of all kinds of tits, very few sparrows, chaffinchs, robin, wren and of course a couple of those by Denise
