Rose recommended
Monty recommended a white rose to climb through an apple tree poss last oct/nov on GW. Know which one it was? Apple trees need air to get through & between the branches easily or they can get  viruses that affect the friut so I personaly wouldn by Regina Galvin

Apple trees
I am planning to plant 2 trees in my garden. First question pot or in the ground. My plan was to put them into pots sunk in the ground a little and then surround pots with stones so that Ican put containers round them. I only have a small garden by Len Port

Oh dear what can the matter be?
hardly any crop from my apples, pears and plums this year. If you still have any blossom (and you can reach it!), try hand-pollination using a small soft brush.  That may only work if you have other apple trees though, as most require cross by Judith Evans

mistletoe
Four years ago we decided to try and get some mistletoe to grow in our apple tree.  Had a sprig that I had bought for xmas and so we rubbed the seeds along the bark and waited and waited.... and waited.  It wasn't until last weekend whilst out by Lavender Lady
