Slugs and snails - help needed!!
not attract slugs and snails which we planted out - they have been eaten.We have put out beer/yeast traps which work on a tiny proportion of the nasties!As a veterinary nurse I refuse to use slug pellets as even the 'animal friendly' ones can cause domestic by fraggle84

Ideas for the site of my garden pond 2
to attract any wildlife. I've decided to relocate the pond to a more sunny area away from the raised bed. Have you any suggestions of what I can do with the old pond site which is about 2 meters long and 1.5 meters wide? Not a pond expert Gary but I do have by Gary Kinch

Bees, Butterflies and Blooms
Centres for a few pounds and intend to sow a few beds in the garden this year, but more needs to be done by all the local councils to encourage the wildlife back. Far too many gardens now are lacking the flowers and plants to attract them, it seems its all by Botticelliwoman

Yea, appreciation, at last! I will tell Peter and the boys! I filled my front garden many years ago with shrubs, flowers,dwarf? trees and let it get on with attracting the wildlife and weeds in the few spaces. It teems with birds and insects by Allotment Robin

Are sterile plants any good for wildlife?
Hi - I have a wildlife garden and I don't use any plants that aren't beneficial to bees and beneficial insects. I recently bought 6 plugs of Foxglove Pink Illumination which is the brand new perrennial foxglove which won at Chelsea. They are coming by Lunarz

getting rid of slugs
places-they will hide under anything bits of wood, pots etc. Then go out after dark with a torch-you will find them having supper and you can dispose as you wish Thirdly slug pellets -if you are against the traditional blue ones there are available a wild-life by artychris

Hedge or border
occidentalis "Little Gem".  Now is a good time to plant when there is a mild day not a hard frost. I love a holly hedge - good for wildlife, good for security, attractive throughout the year, you could go for one of the variegated ones or one of the very dark by Bill Mansfield
