Wildlife Ponds

Talkback: Feeding the birds
Poor little mouse. The profusion of ctas in my areas bugs the life out of me. Endless destruction of borders, faeces in the soil, dead birds. I cannot fathom why people (especially wildlife enthusiasts!!) keep these dreadful animals as house pets by Grannyanne

Talkback: Butterflies
Our buddleja has proved very popular with butterflies in the past few days - think they were Peacocks - very attractive. While not teeming, there were at least 5 or 6 at any one time. It's our garden's first full year, so not sure if this is a by John Waters

there is to know about planting for wildlife.  Glad Sarah Raven was mentioned on last night's  programme, she has done great work in promoting pollinating plants and raising awareness, but I will say the RHS have been very slow to catch up and are only recently by Lowenna

Sycamore tree - why are they monsters?
hang up my green fingered hat. x So the mystery may have been solved! Not in the way you hoped, but the mummy plant does look rather attractive. I agree the 'mummy plant' is rather attractive, but never the less a 40 - 60' weed. Same as the ash in my by Amy Smith

What do you think of this combination?
Hello, I'm planning on what to plant for next year. The area is around my vegetable plot. It's a raised board, south facing, but gets some shade as its surrounded by other gardens. I want to attract bees and butterflies and have a cottage feel. I by Tina_i_am

Flying Ants
