Peony Pruning?
Autumn then you cut them back to ground level, I dead head then tidy them up a little but that is it.They can be moved as long as you leave the surface of the root ball uncovered when you replant it. Put plenty of good compost in the hole first then mulch by Moonlit Hare

Plants still in flower?
patio rose is flowering merrily as well as a hellebore which has flowered since September. Pam This spirea in my garden has its autumn colour and dried flowerheads enriched by new green leaves and this Charles Ross apple tree is hanging on to half of its by Kate Bradbury

. Bow Bells a lovely late December/January started to bloom at the same time as Debbie late January February or even March camelia and Donation which usually follows them all is blooming in tandem with Debbie. I agree such a lovely burst of colour by Starlight

Plants still in flower
and flowered since autumn, muscari ,arabis and a bit of pulmanaria,. however daffodils,crocus,hyacinths and tulips are no further ahead than usual.why? In my Stafordshire garden we have a Lupin just in bud. Our star of the veld also has a flower and a by ruth BAILEY

, the variety of planting should be restricted to as few as possible, taking into account seasonal interest (plant bulbs to grow through perennials, then later-flowered autumn colour etc).  Also don't forget your walls/fences - adding interest here can make by Kate Bradbury

hedgetrimmer without the edges growing brown? I hate bergenias... I have always hated Ribes- pink redcurrant. seemed lots of gardens in the mining village where I gre up had at least one, they just smells of cat pee and are a dreadfull dull colour pink by SPAM VALLEY
