Looking for a cherry blossom tree
to suggest something for me? I was looking for a smallish tree (no larger that about 10feet); pink fragrant blossom, with autumn colour if possible. I intend to plant it next to an East facing wall. Any suggestions would be very much appreciated. Thanks by Angeb

Stunted growth
and produces normal looking leaves every spring which turn their characteristic gorgeous colours in the autumn.  However it is still about the same height as when originally planted and I can't understand why.  It was container grown and as far as I remember by Geri4

Talkback: Octoberfest
up in the garden turns into a relaxed, productive afternoon, surrounded by colours only a British autumn can provide, and the promise of new life to follow with the bulbs being planted for spring. The hedgehogs make a lovely sight mid-evening looking by Marysa

Autumn
Does anyone know/grow an unusual  autumn plant named Sternbergia ? I dont grow them, but they make a lovely bit of autumn colour. They are widely available in the net. Need a good summer or you'll just get winter leaves. Nice if they do perform by arbutus1

Shrub/tree for a very large pot?
with lovely white flowers from late summer to late autumn. Also named Seven son flower tree. After the real flowers have gone there is still an impression of flowers as the coloured sepals stay on for a long time. Very beautiful and not very well known at all by Dewy

Climbing rose
I planted a climbing rose last year which has done very well, but there appears to be branches growing that are red in colour and do not turn green.  Do I leave them on and prune them back in the autumn or do I remove them now?  To be honest by lavenderlass
