caterpillar
found afew of these in green hse on runner beans plus garden..anyone know what they are.. Could be a ruby tiger moth caterpillar. Google and take a look, see what you think will do.. they certainly move very fast by jean linsley

's garden?? Did you have single canes or what? I use bamboo for most things, even runner beans, but fix three together at the top so they stand like a tripod. For a row of beans, I make two tripods and fix a can from the top of one to the top of the other. by green fingerd will

Any ideas what to start growing in the greenhouse for a novice cant wait to start !! It depends on what you want to grow-but it is still relatively early Heated or unheated? unheated veg etc Broad beans can be started-for planting out in a few weeks by Andy51

Too late to plant more seeds?
was sowing beans on Friday's Gardeners World.  Since only one of the eight I sowed germinated, I might try sowing some more as well.   All I have to do is find a space for them!  Can French beans be grown in pots? I've grown dwarf beans successfully in very by AJB

Talkback: Pollen beetles and sweet peas
plates this year!! What have I done wrong and will they come up again next year. They are supposed to be hardy! We are plagued with pollen beetles in our runner bean flowers. Will this prevent them from producing beans?If so what can I do? I also have by Sweet pea

to transplant, when would be the best time to do so as they are a bit more hardy than the beans? Also broad beans ???? Have you hardened them off? If not, I'd start doing it now. Mine have been outside for a couple of (still in their guttering) under a cloche by Greenfingeredsmoggy

We favour tunnels of canes for our runner and french beans, with added guy ropes at each end, tied to strong wooden posts deeply embedded in the ground. As we garden on the side of a hill we get alot of wind, and so far hazel bean poles in tunnels by mikegrahambarrett
